Who I Am

Welcome to my thoughts. I have learned to watch them closely, so that I could more carefully watch my words and actions as well. This blog is my attempt at making sense of all that I experience, including but not limited to, traveling, exercising, reading, dieting, and just about anything else I deem noteworthy. I aim to challenge myself and others to think more critically, to be open-minded, to laugh live and love while we still are afforded time on this planet together. The name "Marwan" is not my legal name. I chose to use this name while living/studying in Cairo, Egypt during a study abroad program in law school in the summer of 2004. In Arabic, it is the closest to my legal name and I have adopted it as an AKA ever since. Understanding myself, understanding others and understanding the world is my passion and all that I add here on this blog merely reflects that so I hope you enjoy and comment freely.
